Motivational Monday and Telemarketing Lead Generation
There’s always that cliché ‘Monday is just around the corner’ and is vibrantly felt as soon as Saturday night is over. There’s nothing left but the sheer dread of a beginning work week – who would want that, anyway? Anyhow, there’s always a reason for everything – and that includes the existence of jobs. Jobs exist not to make you feel bad about yourself. Jobs exist because of a goal shared by a group of people – mostly for the betterment of the company, as well as its employees. Better business, better benefits.
On the other hand, there are times that motivation seems to seep out from the daily agenda. Work becomes routine – and is nothing but a painstaking task to do on a daily basis. This is similar to lead generation. When you are in the telemarketing business, being unmotivated would mean less enthusiasm to have that go-getter attitude. Motivation is important in a lead generation. A telemarketer needs to always go an extra mile to resonate the importance of a particular product or service in a cold call.
How to become a motivated telemarketer into Telemarketing?
Here are the ways:
Love your job. If not, learn to love your job. There’s that quote by the legendary Confucius that says ‘choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life’. Motivation goes together with doing something that you don’t mind doing, because you are happy with what you do.
Realize your goal. Most employees that don’t realize the goal of the company are less motivated to work for it. On the other hand, when they know the goal, and if they know that they are included in the goal and share the ideals of the goal itself – they become fruitful, motivated, and geared to go the extra mile. This is why it is important for a company to share the goals of the company.
Feel motivated. Motivation is not just a spur-of-the-moment feeling, it can be constantly practiced. Instead of whining and thinking negatively about the work at hand, find ways to stay motivated and be positive. Having those ‘bad vibes’ can be visible in a call. If caller recipients sense that you might not be interested in what you do, they will likewise feel uninterested too.
Be persistent. Be persistent in your client calls. On the other hand, be positively persistent. If the not-so-sunny days keep dragging you down, be positively persistent in regaining yourself back to being motivated. Persistence in Telemarketing is the key.
These are just some of the ways to stay motivated. There’s that popular line ‘manic Mondays’ but there’s also one that says ‘motivational Monday’. Stay motivated.
